Erawadee Ya Mong Daeng Red Herbal Balm 90 g

Ya mong daeng — red balm — is the warming member of the Thai balm family, built on stick lac, the red resin secreted by the lac insect (Kerria lacca) and harvested across Thailand, Laos and India. Rubbed into the skin it gives the deep, spreading heat that Thai massage therapists reach for at the end of a session. This is the 90 g aluminium tub, the size massage shops and households buy, and a pea-sized amount covers more than a hand's width of skin.

How to Use

External use only. Apply a small amount — one pea-sized drop is enough for more than 100 cm² of skin — and massage into the area one to three times a day; covering the area with a cloth afterwards holds the warmth in. Wash your hands thoroughly after use. Do not apply to damaged or irritated skin, and avoid contact with the eyes, nose and mouth. Store away from direct sunlight at 15–30°C. Follow the directions on the package.
