Ya mong khao — white balm — is the Thai household standby, an aromatic balm rubbed on the temples, under the nose or into aching shoulders. Erawadee sells this large 250 g aluminium tub, which is the size Thai families and massage shops actually buy. A pea-sized amount covers more than a hand's width of skin, so even a jar this large lasts a very long time.

How to Use

Apply a small amount — a pea-sized drop covers more than 100 cm² of skin — and massage in gently until absorbed, one to three times a day. Wash your hands afterwards. External use only. Avoid the eyes, nose and mouth, do not use on damaged skin or on children under two, and do not rub over the heart area of the chest. Follow the directions on the package.
